The collages are influenced by people or images that I associate with particular areas of inner London and how we often reflect, or become products of our environments. Most of the photographs that I use to build the collages endorse a location, and include photographs of newspaper headlines, advertisements and products that are targeted at, or associated with, that specific location. The content of the isolated graphic figure becomes a record of the environment with which the figure is connected. Fashion photography, brand identity, and elements of typography are further influences. Post codes are often used in the titles to further associate the figure with a specific area of London.
